Liposuction involves the removal of fat through a small tube connected to suction; a surgical procedure. SculpSure involves the removal of fat via your natural lymphatic process after being destroyed by the SculpSure laser; no surgery. Both procedures lead to the permanent removal of fat cells. Both procedures are highly effective. Liposuction patients often experience several days (or more) of downtime due to pain, swelling, and bruising. The SculpSure procedure involves no downtime; it requires no time away from your busy schedule. Each patient must decide what they are willing to undergo to get the body they want. The best way to make a choice is to seek the advice of body contouring specialists.
SculpSure destroys fat cells with a targeted laser wavelength. CoolSculpting freezes tissue to destroy fat cells. CoolSculpting is older technology, while SculpSure is the most advanced technology. CoolSculpting can result in uneven, unattractive reduction, often referred to as ‘shelving’ or ‘shark bites.’ SculpSure’s laser energy radiates outward affecting a 30% larger area and produces a natural-looking, smooth reduction. A CoolSculpting treatment can cause an increase in fat called paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH). There have been no reports of PAH with SculpSure. SculpSure offers a shorter treatment time, less discomfort, natural looking reduction, and no risk for PAH. When you are making your fat reduction decision, seek the advice of body contouring specialists.
Fat reduction and losing weight are not the same. You have a fixed number of fat cells. You don’t make more in your lifetime. When you lose weight, those fat cells shrink, but don’t disappear…and they can enlarge again if you gain weight. When you have a SculpSure procedure, the fat cells are destroyed and your body won’t make new ones. Studies show you cannot spot reduce your problem areas. With a fat reduction procedure like SculpSure, you can select where you want to reduce the fat. Did you know that most other fat reduction technologies just shrink fat cells? SculpSure is one of only two fat reduction procedures that leads to permanent fat cell loss. The other technologies create inch loss through shrinking the fat cells and are not permanent. The best way to get the information you need is to seek the advice of body contouring specialists.
